Feeling a bit homesick and uncertain, Claire and I decided to make the most of our weekend and head out for food and fun to cheer ourselves up. Thankfully, our little day out worked and we ended up feeling a whole lot better. Luckily enough for you, I decided to take you along with us! Don't say I don't treat you! We decided to make our first stop Rockfish, one of the local seafood places that's ~interestingly~ situated next to the aquarium. Claire went for chips, mushy peas and garlic mayo and I went for the crab roll. The food was really good - we'd definitely recommend!

Big thanks to Claire for lending me some sunglasses

Time was of the essence and Claire needed to buy something before the shops shut so we skipped the last part of the aquarium, vowing to go back soon to finish it off, and made our way to the shops. Post-browsing and post-refreshment, we stumbled across the seafood market and decided to have a nose around. After losing Claire to a cheese stall for five minutes, we decided to head back to the car via the collectibles, antiques and curios shop. It was full of weird and curious items that you couldn't help but laugh at. Hello sombrero-wearing Jar Jar Binks...I'll definitely have to take you back at some point for a more in depth browse because it was an Aladdin's cave!

Once we'd stopped browsing, we decided to head home and plan our future adventures. I'll be sure to take you on some more mini adventures soon! What have you been up to recently? ♥
