There is nothing quite like a lazy Sunday. A day where it is completely acceptable to saunter around in your fleecey pyjamas, to pay more attention to newspaper supplements than people and it also happens to be the perfect opportunity to watch terrible terrible movies without an ounce of embarrassment.
As much as I love it, this Sunday just gone was a little bit different. After a week of slogging over assignments, we decided to make our Sunday a little more worthwhile. We deliberated between catching a boat and getting the bus before hopping in a taxi to the pretty part of town! You can imagine how upset I was that I didn't get to scream 'I'm on a boat aaand it's going fast aaaand I've got a nautical theme pashmina afghan' at the top of my lungs! Anyway, back to the matter at hand...I took a lot more snaps on my disposable camera but I won't be getting that developed for a couple of days so I thought I'd just share these few that I caught on camera. The 'pretty part of town' used to be a naval base (if my memory serves me well!) so it has got its fair share of grand architecture and cute touches. It's now home to restaurants, a bakery, businesses, gorgeous flats and little offices. If anyone would like to buy me an office overlooking the Sound, please let me know in the comments below. Thaaaaanks!
We ate, we wandered and we ventured home with happy bellies!
I'm planning on dragging Luke there soon as there's a gorgeous little 'help yourself' bakery there that I want to try out for breakfast and there's a River Cottage canteen! I'm currently snuggled up in my Kigu, attempting to create an essay plan for my Romanticism module. Oh, the joys! I'm treating myself to an evening of new Homeland and new Dexter to make up for the horrible horrible business of assignments! I really want to dedicate more time for Little V as I feel like I'm not here as much as I would like to be. If someone could help me to learn how to juggle a billion things at once, that'd be great! As I said earlier, I'm getting my disposable developed at the moment so I may let you take a peek at what I managed to capture this month. How's that sound?
