Stationery Gift Ideas

gift guide for readers stationery vivatramp lifestyle blog

I've decided to bring you a few gift ideas from Chronicle Books for those that love list writing, reading, writing and planning. A couple of these were given to me as gifts and I for one loved them so they have my seal of approval which, admittedly, counts for shit all but they've got them anyway!

ONE.

the future listography

This listography offering is for two types of people: the uber planners and the people that don't have a sodding clue what they're doing with themselves. I am, of course, the latter. Full of fun illustrations and complete with a fancy orange ribbon bookmark, this would make a great gift on its own or accompanied by a diary or planner to draw the theme out a little further.

The lists include: 'Things you'd love to be knowledgeable about', 'Other lives you'd want to lead if you had nine lives' and 'Details about your family for future generations'.

TWO.

This listography journal is one for the readers and bookish types who also might be in the market for some booktube or book blog post ideas. Full of further fun illustrations and complete with a royal blue ribbon bookmark, you can serve it up individually or you could pair it with a book on the recipient's wishlist as an added touch.

The lists include: 'Books to read before I die', 'Families I spanned time with' and 'Cities and countries I've travelled to via literature'.

642 tiny things to write about

Aaaaand, one for the writers! Whilst they do have bigger versions of this journal, alongside ones suitable for children, I am the owner of the tiny journal which is the ideal companion for those of us that write things on the go. Gift it on its todd or pop it in a box alongside some writing apparatus, a fancy looking notebook and some sort of warming beverage for a writer's subscription box vibe.

The writing prompts include: 'Pick any story from today's newspaper. Tomorrow, the story turns in a radically unexpected way. What happens?', 'The title of your autobiography' and 'It's 2045. Describe a roadside attraction on the moon'.

There we have it. A low octane look at a few gift ideas that you can give, donate or ask for this year. I have got some bookish gift ideas coming up for you next week so keep those beady eyes peeled if that's what you're after. Do get hold of me if there are any particular things that you'd like me to cover over here on Vivatramp before the year is through and I'll aim to make your dreams come true. Happy 1st of December!

  2. I love these types of books-- Start Where You Are is a really fun journaling one with nice illustrations. I don't think I realized there was a book specific listography- definitely going to check that one out now :)
