Wreck This Journal 4

wreck this journal pages creativity with bee uk lifestyle book blog vivatramp

I have been wrecking again but, thankfully, this time I've been wrecking something other than my life. I'm kidding. I'm getting kind of good at this life thing. This month's pages have all been about colour, spontaneity and patterns and I have to say I'm pretty happy with them. Let me know what you would have done with these prompts in the comments below. Time to get creative and have a peek at my latest Wreck This Journal pages...

+ TITLE PAGE
I have a little bit of a fascination with stars, the moon and space so I thought I'd inject those passions into my journal via epic splodges. I love me some paint splodges! I was planning on just sticking to a black, yellow and white colour palette for this page but I got distracted and fancied brightening it up a bit. This is something that I replicated on another of the pages that I'm going to share with you today and I really like them both! I think it's a fun way to begin the journal, even if I do say so myself. I decided to tape in one of my Ladybird Likes postcards on the opposing page because I think it's a good mantra to keep in mind whilst being creative. I may paint the back of that page or jazz it up somehow, we'll see.

+ COLOR THIS ENTIRE PAGE
This was quite a spontaneous couple of pages and I think it shows. However, I really like how scruffy and impromptu it looks. It's like you can see the creativity on the page. God, I sound like a knob. In hindsight, I should have used pen on some parts because it would have been a lot neater but meh. I love the combination of colours. I think my biggest inspiration for these pages were The Flinstones. Yabbadabbado, indeed.

I love how childlike these pages are. They're just ridiculously bright and fun and I think that represents part of my personality. Who doesn't love colouring in bubble writing?! I think the multicoloured border works really well too. These pages are ridiculous and simple but creativity doesn't have to be solely about fine art or creating a masterpiece.

+ drum on this page with pencils
This page is still under construction a little but I thought I'd share it with you anyway because I had a lot of fun with it. As embarrassing as it is to admit, my best friend and I used to sit down on the beach one evening a week, eat pizza and drum along to our favourite Taking Back Sunday songs with some chopsticks so I was completely in my element here. I popped on some of my favourites and went to town. It's annoying that colouring pencils don't show up so well but it's cool regardless.

+ name page
I decided to go a bit old school and use colouring pencils for this page. It pretty much looks like my old diary name pages as a teen and I think that's a good thing. I didn't want to leave the opposite page blank so I decided to paint it with a mix of colours and tape in one of my latest disposables. I took that photo to use up my film so it's quite nice that I've found a place for it in my journal. I like the little floral elements on these pages too.

+ close your eyes and connect the dots

I tried and tried to make this page photograph well but tough tits, we'll just have to deal with it. I really really enjoyed creating this page and I think it's definitely one of my favourites. The idea behind this was to close your eyes and connect the dots but it was a little bland so I decided to attack it with paint and paste in some planets. I've also stuck in some glow in the dark stars so they should make the page really pop!

What do you think of my pages? How would you have done them? I'd love to see any blog posts that you've done on your Wreck This Journal so feel free to share them. I'm off to do a spot of writing  ♥

  11. Wow this is probably one of the best Wreck This Journals I've ever seen. I bought one a couple of years ago and completely wrecked it by not thinking about what I was going to do on each page and just diving straight in. Yours is looking amazing though, love the space themes and how colourful it all is! x

I stopped wrecking a while ago, i don't know why...mine is so bland in comparison! haha
but, the journal also allowed me to be wreckless/creative with other things!! Suddenly, every page becomes an opportunity, even if there's already words on it! :D
