Wreck This Journal 2

uk lifestyle blog vivatramp wreck this journalphoto 1

I've been creative and stuff, again! This time I unearthed my paint set and washi tape and really went to town.  I am living dangerously, people. Let me know what you think in the comments below and I'll have a gander.

+ doodle over top of the cover

As you can probably tell, the cover of my journal looks quite different to the last time you saw it! I'd had this washi tape tucked away in my box for a while so I thought I'd put it to good use and create a fun cover. I quite like how messy it is, with multiple layers so you get a sort of mummified look. I can't believe I just said that....God, I'm a knob.

+ close the journal. write / scribble something on the edges

When I was a dysfunctional teen, I'd scrawl the names and logos of my favourite bands on the edges of my school planner
because I was ridiculously cool...like seriously cool. However, now that I'm a little older and wiser, I thought I'd go for a bit of a
very messy rainbow edge instead! I think it looks really fun and it was completely spontaneous so that makes it 100% better!

+ drip something here. (ink, paint, tea) close the book to make a print

I had a lot of fun with this page! I decided to carry on the rainbow theme by flicking and dripping paint everywhere. I managed to cover my duvet and my laptop as well as this journal. Score! As you can probably see, I made a bit of an error because I forgot to close the page whilst it was still wet so I didn't exactly make a print...oops! Anarchy is alive and well, people! P.S Look at the red and yellow splodges to the left of 'drop something here'...don't you think it looks like a cute puppy?! Ah, I love happy little accidents like that.

+ scribble wildly, violently, with reckless abandon

This was strangely therapeutic to do! Mess can be ridiculously fun. I think I'm going to scribble over the page next to it too because why not?! I am YOLO personified, I know.

+ add your own page numbers

I've also started to add my own page numbers to the journal.  As you can see, I went for the classic crayon. However, I've only numbered twenty pages so far because I'd quite like to change it up along the way. Ideas?

What do you think of this month's efforts? Are you inspired to pick up a Wreck This Journal yet? I'm off to be creative and stuff ♥

  8. Still really loving this feature, keep them coming :D I'm always on the lookout for creativity books and Kerri Smith's are really great. When I'm drawing I always put pressure on myself to make it perfect but this is all about just letting yourself go!

  9. I really want to get one of these journals. I'm so obsessive about keeping books neat and perfect - even text books I used for exams! - so this looks like it would be a lot of fun. I love seeing how different people have wrecked their copies, they all look so different but still so beautiful and creative. x
