My Adopted Hometown, Plymouth

Winter pretty much kills my chances of heading to one of my favourite parts of my adopted hometown so when the sunshine recently graced the skies I thought it was the perfect opportunity to catch some rays and give you an insight into my surroundings. I was looking at analytics recently and it astounded me to see where some of my readers live, from good ol' UK to tucked away in Texas, from France to Indonesia. Therefore, I thought it'd be quite nice for you guys to see where I spend my days because I always find it quite interesting to see my favourite bloggers' natural habitats; it's a tonic to my own wanderlust and helps me to understand their experiences. As you can see, I live by the seaside; I've always lived by the shore and I know I'll find it pretty difficult if I ever have to prise myself away from it. I call this my 'adopted' hometown because this is where I live whilst I study at university; it's a lot larger than home but it's still pretty cosy in its own way.  These photographs were taken on different days, as you can tell by the warmer/colder juxtaposition! You can see other photographs that I've taken of my adopted hometown HERE.

If you'd like to scroll through all of my adventures then you can do so.

  2. My best friend lives in the same town as you (when you're at university) and I love to visit her especially in summer, we always go and sunbath by the lighthouse the view is amazing from there. I actually did a post about the town I'm currently living in for my year abroad, if you want to read it it's here.
Lovely photos by the way, makes me so homesick for the UK!

  10. Fantastic pictures - I feel the same way about the city I went to for Uni, and now I'm working there since I graduated. Living by the sea is a massive thing for me, my actual hometown is coastal too, there's something really nice and homely about being by the seaside for me. I'll probably do a post like this at some point when the weather brightens up, so thank you for the inspiration! x

  11. Love this post and the pictures are lovely! It's such an interesting idea for a post and I've been thinking about doing something like this for a while. But I think I'll have to wait until spring, when my hometown is a bit prettier haha...(I don't want to share the true story about my hometown, only the pretty story ;))

  15. These photos are absolutely gorgeous, there is definitely something about the seaside, I've never lived more than a few minutes from the coast and I never could - the sea air is so good for clearing your head and I find the sound of the sea so cathartic and calming. The second from the bottom could be abroad, it's gorgeous. Can I come and visit sometime for barbecues on the beach and cream teas and champagne in the sunshine please? :) xxx

    1. Agreed. I have no idea how the hell I'd be able to live away from it. I find the air so stuffy :/ Of course, gorgeous. Would love to see your sexy face and listen to my favourite laugh <3
